Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi Seniors,

I am looking for advice here is my situation.

I am on PGWP and my spouse is on open work permit in canada as well. I am primary applicant and after everything we got 452.That's the best we could do.

As our WP is going to expire soon. I am thinking instead of waiting for draw to come down 452. Can i apply alone that will raise my crs and after i get my PR i can sponser my husband. He is inland so he will probably get new work permit once we submit his application.

Any suggestions please......

Why not try applying to OINP? It's very easy to get a nomination from them, and that would get you an additional 600 CRS points.

Have you considered SINP or BC's PNP? Both of those seem to be NOC based.

If you:

a) Have a CRS of 400 or above
b) A degree
c) Indicated that you would like to stay in Ontario while making your EE profile, by clicking on either the Ontario option, or All of the Above option

Then you will get an invitation to apply for Ontario's PNP program. You cannot apply to it without this ITA.

i got opnp invitation but i did not apply for it. As they mentioned in the requirements must have degree. I am living in toronto and working as app developer. i don't want to move to another province just for PNP its going to be very hard.

Alright, what are your IELTS scores?

OPNP is not for me even though i got invitation just because i don't have degree. They don't care i m living in ontario for 5 years. i am working with a reputated bank i studied in ontario for three years. i am warning good money. They just don't care they want degree.

celpip scores listening11, reading9 , writing 8 , speaking 7. I know thats the only way to improve scores but i already tried twice.

Okay, so these are the options you have:

a) Apply to another province's PNP, and move to that province, and stay on in Canada
b) Retake either the CELPIP or the IELTS, to increase your CLB scores, and increase your EE CRS, and thus, get an ITA to stay in Canada

You need to do one of these- it is up to you to decide which one of these is more convenient for you. Personally, retaking the CELPIP and increasing my CLB to 9 across all four categories would be the more appealing option to me- I don't have to apply to a PNP (which takes time), and I don't have to move across the country (which you understandably do not want to do).

My advice? Study hard, retake the CELPIP or the IELTS, get your CLB up, and so, get your CRS up.

Can you qualify under the Job Offer stream? You'll have to ask for your employer's help though.

At 452, you'll get an ITA soon enough and probably in Feb itself if IRCC conducts back-to-back draws next Wednesday.

Hope you don't lose points for age sometime soon. If you might lose those points, recommend retaking CELPIP.

Thanks Asivad for your reply.

No i will not loose any point due to age for next 6 years :). I will just wait and watch for now. My spouse will complete one year work experiennce in canada so i will get 5 points the. My PGWP is valid till December 2016.
