After long time i am back Sorry...

Since last 2 months I shuttled to my home town for birth certificates, transcripts, employee ref and others of mine & my wife.
Now I am ready and will send it through FedEx by tomorrow.

I strongly suggest to have BC done if you dont have one. because earlier the applications used to be sent to local VO office (In my case New Delhi, India), as Indian VO knows the Birth Registration was not mandatory before 1986 in India and the govt it self considers SSC certificate as Date of Birth doc in lue of B.C. so New Delhi VO used to consider the application and forward it to CIO Canada after review.

Thats because we see some positive cases even with out BC, I dont think they are recent once.

Now the process has been changed as all knows, we have send application to CIO Canada and they require BC.
Self affidavite is usefull and can be given if you have any mismatch of content on BC & Passport but not in lue of BC.

So I took 2 months for it to get it done and I am sending my application....

Date of birth is usually mentioned on all documents of Secondary examination eg, Marksheet, Passing certificate, you may use anyone.

I don't think affidavit from self/parents will be accepted (not sure, as per my logic).
Secondary school leaving mark sheet/certificate with D.O.B on it should help...in any case affidavit wont work...dont attempt to submit that...otherwise u risk ur application being returned to u or they may later on request for more documents which will un-necessarily delay ur file...
it is advisable to obtain the necessary documents prior to applying since u still are gathering documents..its better that u arrange for appropriate docs and only then proceed to apply...hope that helps :-)

all the best for your application !

I do agree with JUNER2011...

At worse case, you can go ahead and send your application with SSC certificate but start process for getting BC and make sure you get it in next 1 or 2 months and can send if CIO asks while ur application in process...
