With Express Entry, there is no minimum CRS required to be eligible to enter the pool to apply for Canadian PR. But having said that to get direct invite (ITA), you should have a CRS of at least 470 (the score for the latest invite). As per the trend, the score for direct ITA has never gone down below 450. But that should not deter you from applying as there are ways to improve your score to get ITA.

You need to improve your IELTS score to have any kind of chance to clear the cutoff. You could also have your spouse take the test as that can add points to your score. In the meantime you can create an EE profile with current score and hope for a PNP.

IELTS of the primary applicant plays a very important role in improving CRS score, therefore I would suggest that you should target CLB 9 (LRWS - 8777).

You can try different values in the calculator here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp and see for yourself how much of a difference IELTS makes to your CRS score.

with 386 you can apply to NB PNP which has started accepting EOI from software Engineers, esp JAVA. try to see if you get 67/100 as eligibility.

I am missing CLB level 8, as my listening score is 7. So while calculating the points, do we consider the whole as CLB 7 or do I have to add it separately?
CLB 7 = 4+4+4+4 =16
mixed = 5+4+5+5 = 19

I calculated my score, considering the whole as CLB7

Language = 16
Education = 23
Experience = 15
Age = 12
--------------------------
Total = 66

I am from NOIDA, INDIA. I am on the verge of applying for Express Entry. However am facing a hiccup at the moment. For ECA, am not sure what way should be followed to send the documents to WES (World Education Services). I completed my 12th from CBSE and bachelors from Uttar Pradesh Technical University. I am slightly confused. Can someone please help me with this asap? Its urgent!
