Actually, I just moved to Alberta, I and my sister are planning to buy a car through finance, and she doesn't have any license, not even class 7. But I have class 5 license if we the car get registered under both of our names, can I be able to get insurance under my name only?

If she doesn't have a licence she will not get insurance anyway, so get the insurance under your name.
