Well then, you can request for it to be send to your address in canada and then you can ask your parent to send it by DHL or speak to the bank to find out how you can get the statement online showing your full details which should be possible in pdf. As for the investment doc, if that is stressful its better not to include than including it not complete to avoid raising of eye brow.

You could also include stat decs from your parent's saying you will be living with them and both wish to reside there upon your return - that's what I did as I had no ties to Canada at the time of the application.

I also included screen shots of flight itineraries, a quote for moving my cat over and screen shots of potential jobs- emails with family/friends discussing plans to move back over and correspondence with potential/current employers discussing your future situation.
I think combined as a whole all your evidence should be sufficient. Best to err on the safe side!

I just actually spoke to a friend of mine who said that a ticket was not enough to prove she was coming back. She was asked for more proof so she had her parents write up a letter along with other family members to prove she was coming back. In the letter from her parents, they simply stated that they had arrangements to have their daughter and her husband to stay with them when they arrive in Canada. She also got her employer to write a letter stating her intended first day back at work.

You guys know what...? This evening I was already at the post office, ready to submit our application package. But the only proof I had was just a plane ticket. But somehow the express mail department had already closed, so I had to take the package back with me.

Then I got home and found out everyone's replies, that I need more proofs. I guess I shouldn't have been angry to find out that the express mail department had closed... ;D

Anyway, now it's 5:30 AM here.....and I've collected 8 proofs in total, one of which is a letter written by my parents...

Hopefully these are enough...!

Because you are in fact going to be back living in Canada shortly after sending in the application, you don't really need as much proof you plan to return to Canada as would a sponsor who is living abroad and will continue to do so until his/her spouse gets the PR visa. So yes, submit proof you plan to return to Canada. But in addition, once you are back in Canada, I would send more proof to show that you have reestablished yourself. This is just extra proof. The proof people send to show they will return to Canada is not always found to be sufficient; much better proof is evidence you are in fact back in Canada. So wait until you have a place to live and a job, then send this proof to the visa office in Singapore.
The proof the sponsor will go back to Canada is not only relevant to the sponsor's application. Many people have been approved as a sponsor, then the PR visa was rejected because the visa officer did not believe the sponsor would return to Canada. In other words, the proof they submitted was good enough for Missauga, but was not good enough for the embassy processing the PR application.
It is also not a good idea to send things to Missauga after you have sent the main application there. Most likely the two parts will not be matched up. It is better to send any extra proof you gather after applying to the visa office abroad once you have your file number.

I've always wondered: you know how there are those sponsor forms (i.e.: IMM 5491, 1344, 5481, 5476, 5409, 5540)...do they stop at CPC-M, or will CPC-M forward those forms (along with the sponsor's supporting documents) to the outland visa office too (in our case, Singapore)??! Sometimes I wonder whether it's better to include stuff within the sponsor's envelope or the sponsored person's envelope...!

2. Re: proof of place to live ---> how would I prove this? The house doesn't belong to me, but to my parents. I do plan to buy a house, but not until my wife lands in Canada as a PR...

3. A job: I already have a job, with a Canadian employer.....I guess the most obvious thing to do is, to get them to write a letter, stating that they are aware that I'm back in Canada?!

4. Will I get the UCI number from CPC-M, or from the outland visa office (Singapore)?? Everything gets sent to the visa office in Singapore.

Get your parents to write a letter explaining this, or an affidavit. You can also write an explanation of your plans once your spouse gets to Canada. This is also proof of the genuineness of the relationship, since someone in a MOC wouldn't usually have detailed plans for their life together.

You want the best advice I can give you?

Save yourself a LOT of grief and headaches and worrying about which visa office to send your documents to, or "will it be enough proof..." or "will they reject my application?"

You said you were going back to Canada in just 5 more weeks. So what I would do - without a doubt - is wait until you're back in Canada, and file the application AFTER you're home.

You won't need job letters or bank statements or any of the other things that are causing you grief right now, and you will eliminate a huge burden of proof from your whole application.
