Hi everyone,
I'm a Canadian citizen who's sponsoring my Indonesian wife to Canada. We are about to mail our application to CPC-Mississauga in literally a few hours from now.
I've been in Indonesia since September 2012, and I mainly came here to help prepare for our wedding, to actually marry my wife, to have our honeymoon here, to work on and prepare this (gigantic) application package, and, it goes without saying, to spend time with my wife.
I came to Indonesia with a tourist visa, and I'm going back to Canada at the end of February 2013 (so when I return to Canada, I will have been in Indonesia for about 5 months.)
According to CIC's rules, Canadian citizens are allowed to reside out of Canada during the application process, as long as they show proofs that they intend to resettle in Canada. Because of that, I have enclosed my return ticket for going back to Canada.
But now I keep wondering whether or not to include another proof of intention to resettle in Canada, which is my latest Canadian cellphone account statement. I am keeping my Canadian cellphone line active, obviously because I will be using it again when I'm back in Canada.
Here's the thing, if my latest cellphone account statement is the only proof of ties to Canada that I am enclosing in the application, won't the VO think "hmm how come this guy only enclosed 1 form of proof? We want more!"
So to avoid the VO's thinking like that, now I began to wonder if I should just include only the return ticket instead....that way there's no confusion...
I'm confused...! Ticket only, or ticket with cellphone account statement?!
