I am traveling to Canada on a round the world trip. My home country does not require me to have a visa to enter Canada. I am flying to Canada on a one way plane ticket and I have a departure bus ticket to leave to the US but I am not a US citizen. I have a visa to enter the US but I do not have a departure ticket from the US and I haven't decided where I want to go from there.

Question - Will Canadian Immigration deny me at the border for not having a departure from the US even though I have a departure ticket from Canada?

It is not the canadian immigration, but the us immigration might rise the question.I guess you can tell them u r a tourist and would leave in roughly some time period say 4 weeks? You can also show them that you have the ticket from canada to your home country

Right, I am not concerned about US immigration at this point, I am most concerned about CANADIAN immigration as that is the first part of my trip. Will run into problems with CANADIAN immigration?

What country are you from?
Some airlines will not allow one way travel to Canada (except Canadian citizens).

Barbados. I've traveled to Canada on a one way ticket before. It's just that, that time I had another one way plane ticket returning home. This time, I have a one way bus ticket going to the US. Would it make much of a difference?
