Hi there,

I am applying to sponsor my husband. We live together, but he is currently in Canada on a visitor visa, since we got married.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me, when the application asks for his country/place of residence, should we use our address in Canada or his parents address in Ireland?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can do either. I've used my Canadian address on 4 applications even though I'm a "visitor." (1 PR app, 3 visitor extensions.)

I did list my "home" address in the USA in my former addresses. However, if CIC called there, my dad would tell them I moved a long time ago :)

Hi,
Yes!You are supposed to put his address in Canada since that's where he's currently residing!!-All the best
