Pl help. Got Ppr request but passport is due to expire in 5 month.

please tell me if anyone have any experience because my passport is due to expire in 5 month and I don't want to waste time for new passport. Should I send the same passport or I need a new passport. Further my three dependent have manual Pakistan passport. Do you think I should get them readable passport or the manual or fine .

In which country you are ....????? although they asked validity of 6 month for visa stamps.......it may cause a delay........when you did medical you should renew at that time though

I am in uk and to be honest I have never noticed that my passport is getting expire soon. I just realize last night when I was preparing it to send it to lvo .

This is quite simple. Follow the instructions outlined in the Passport request. If the PPR asks for a passport that's valid for more than six months, well then you know what to do.

Do not worry even you notice it really earlier than my friend who was present for medical with expired passport and he could not .........realized after office told him .......

If you submit current passports, then validity of visa may be shortened, it will be the same as expiry date of passport.

Canadian embassy has no issues with manual passports, my family got their visas in manual passports in september 2013. No issues.

Keep in mind you will have to travel very soon as visa would be valid for 5 months only!

bhae better to apply for new passport...cz they need six month validity atleast..this is wat i got in my Passport Request email..

I have the same issue but for my wife though.Her pasdport is going to expire this september. She's here with me in canada.i'm having second thoughts on whether we could get the new by the time CIc will ask for our passports,so, I am a bit confused if she should renew it now ir later.

By the way, what did you end up doing?did you renew your passport or just wait until a later date, maybe after PR application is approved? Hope to hear from you. Thanks

I believe under current laws of Pakistani passports, you can apply to renew when less than 6 months are left for expiry, so you can go ahead and renew it now. It will take around 3-4 weeks as passports come from DGIP Pakistan.

New machine-readable Pakistan passport (MRP) is issued/valid for 10 years now wherever this facility is available.

If you submit passport with little time available, the visa validity will correspond to expiry date of passport. Even with that, you will need to renew passport in Canada then....might as well renew now and inform visa office that passport is being renewed, and you will submit new passport for visa issuance....

Go to embassy and apply for new passport, CHC will not issue visa on ur current passport ,bcoz of validity is less then six month.
