You always see horror stories like that. MIT educated engineers who end up driving cabs in Toronto. At the end of the day though it is very much down the individual in question and everybody's story is different. The situation is not unique to Canada either. To summarize: "...IT manager job I had for the previous 14 years..." (in the US)... can't find work in Canada....the suggestion from someone else... "...you might have to start off as a system administrator or even tech support".
