I came across this topic upon thorough research.

I just have a question forum mates. Let's say I have landed in canada as permanent resident, around April 2014 then went home February 2015 to get married, how long would be the process before i can get her?

we have been together for more than 10 years now and have kept all the pictures we have since we started last 2003. I decided not to get into marriage right now because it might take a little longer and make things complicated for us. Will I be questioned after we file our application?

Any insights on this will be greatly appreciated.

Timeline for Philippines is about 14 months.. some cases take 10 months, some a year... but around 14 months is safe to think...

If you go to marry in February 2014, maybe it will take 3 to 4 months to have the application ready... then you are talking that you will be together by august of 2016..... but things change all the time... it may be less or may be more.... But if you go to marry in 2014, no reasons why not... then your spouse will be here by the end of 2015

Hey Awesome we almost have the same case. I got my visa for less than a month. Dont ever declare that u r together for 10 yrs kc u have to declare common law partner. Simple bf gf is better and safe to say than living together. I have batchmate oct applicant denied her application for telling them they were together for 5 yrs but she didnt declare it on her application before. Well back to me, my husband went back to phil jul. 2013 then we got married... October na when we got our marriage contract (released ) in NSO. My husband told to immigration na they can email sa lahat ng notifications mas mabilis kesa mail. You should
complete all ur requirements before isubmit para pag dating sa manila embassy passprt nalang ask nila then visa na
