Hi! Sent my husband's application on Nov 29, 2012 and today December 11, 2012 I received an email from CIC stating that they received it on Dec 3rd and they also included the UCI# and Application No in the email. I checked it on their website but the system still can't recognize it. Maybe it's too early. I will try again tomorrow. I hope I will find other December applicants here so we can update and help each other.

If the email/letter is addressed to you, make sure it's your details (not your husband's) that you enter on the CIC website. I made that mistake and I couldn't find the details of my application -- until I tried my wife's details. :-[

I put my info as well. I also tries my husband's. It says they may have received the application but have not processed it yet. Once it is "in process", I could log in and check it. I'm just excited cuz usually it will take at least a month from the day you mail the application to the email that they received the application but mine only took 8 days! I hope I get the sponsorship approval fast too! For some it took them 1 to 2 months. Thanks!

HI!

CFO-sticker (from Commission on Filipinos Overseas) is an additional requirement if your partner/spouse is a canadian citizen... if not PDOS lang po... At the airport po kasi the Bureau of Immigration counter will check if you have this sticker in your passport if not they will not allow you to board your plane/flight.

Im a PR here in Canada. I'm sponsoring my husband whos in the Philippines right now so I dont think we will need CFO.

Lahat ng naalis sa Pinas na mag mmigrate sa ibang bansa (not only Canada bound) needs to attend PDOS.. Its a REQUIREMENT.

PDOS issues a sticker na nilalagay sa passport and is being checked sa airport..

The info that you will need to input is the SPONSOR's information (name, bday and birthplace) NOT the applicant's..

hi... so u sponsored ur hubby, did he include u the sponsor as family member included in his application or just he alone or with the kids if u have kids already or ur included , its about the question 3 of the imm 0008...???

check application processing time, step 1 assessment of sponsor you will see if they start processing your application, i believe you can only check your status online if you are already in step 2 which is assessment of person being sponsored (applicant)

Happy New Year everyone! Wala pa rin news from CIC. last time I checked, they're currently processing those applications that were received on Nov 6. So malayo pa ko Dec 3rd kasi ung sa husband ko. But I was able to log in na and it says received pa lang. Im praying we will receive the Sponsor Approval this month. I really miss my husband. Goodluck everyone!
