Last Feb 9 i was blessed with a 7.1lbs healthy baby boy. ingon ani d.i ni ang feeling kung ma tatay naka.. hehehe.. murag maka hilak kas kalipay specially when first time nimo magunitan imo baby..

Kamusta naman mo guys?? hope everything is still well... Just to share.. nahuman nami og pa medical sa cebu doc, kang DR. Santos. nya ni bayad nasad mi sa RPRF which is 42K.
Ang amo nasad i process is sa akng newborn. hopefully ma finish na namo tanan documents para sa amo baby.. passport is done for the baby.. kuhaon nalang karong march 20... unsa namay balita nimo kazu? naa na imo PP with VISA? wala nako naka subay da so sorry nalang daan if naka sulti naka...hehee

maayo pa ka. i just found out two days ago nga adtong feb 17 pa napadala sa akong parents akong passport padulong sa embassy. gikan pa man gud akong passport dinhi sa disyerto. maayo unta og ma-naa na koy visa oy. plano lagi nako sa vancouver ko. naa naman sad gud koy na-research nga support group for first time immigrants. balak gyud nako sa vancouver ko musulod. ikaw diay asa man ka sa CA? family man mo noh?

I don’t know if my advice will work best for your case but here is my idea.

First, would be your current earnings – in terms of figures.

If you are earning 6-digits per month in the Philippines, then, do not quit your job. File a 2-month vacation just enough for you to get your PR card while you’re in Canada then go back to your work as you planned.

But, if you are earning 5-digits per month in the Philippines, if I were in your shoe, I’ll forego the trainings and all the company benefits and perks that I have in Philippines. I’ll focus my attention to start a new life out from scratch in Canada. Besides, your trainings may not be easily acceptable in Canada. As I have heard from relatives and read in other fora, you have to have at least a Canadian education to upgrade your current qualification. Ergo, when we strive to have a better life in Canada, we have to at least upgrade our education in Canada.

Although some trainings may well be readily accepted, then, you might as well grab that training. As far as I know, trainings in IT (CISCO, Microsoft, etc) are accepted in Canada. I guess it all depends on the type of training you foresee to undergo while in the Philippines.

Secondly, I’d like to point out the motivation or that unique thing that drives you to migrate to Canada. If passionate enough to being a Canadian Citizen in three years time, then, by hook or by crook, you have to be there in Canada.

In my case, I don’t earn 6-digits in a month. I may have a good position and a good job now but my conviction and goal to become a Canadian citizen supersedes everything. Therefore, when I get my passport with my visa, I’ll fly to Canada and stay there after I get the Canadian citizenship.

maybe its time to start lowering our pride now, forget the "i am the boss" thing....go back to scratch nlng.
here in my position, we can literally call someone just to pour water in our drinking glass, when we eat, we have stewards...etc..
although murag si kinsa but that is our tradition....its sooooo damn hard to land a job in my position, literally i shed blood, tears for months, destroyed my once fair skin, i could not even treat my nails so it would look like as it was before....for months wala koy tulog tarong,contacts,swerte na ug mka 4-5 hrs mi tulog, every meal 4-5 spoons ra amo makaon, usahay wala pa kaon....it was an intense phy, emo, mental hardship i went through 4 my job now
its sooooo damn hard to let it go.....
guys i need ur advices coz its a "lifetime decision"

@lecter : as was Kazuhiro's statement, everything is all up to you... this is your life so do not put your future in the hands of others... i admire you for asking the advice from forum mates but we can only opine depending on our personal outlook and goals...please do not be offended by what i said not to put your future in the hands of others, i meant well, i can see how hard it is for you to let go of what is currently on your plate so may be the best person for you discuss this with is your spouse (if naa) or family members... get a weekend retreat and look inside your heart what is it you really want to do once you get your visa or where you want to be a year from now...

@ lecter, my simple advise is... follow what your heart desires.. try to ask yourself, why did you apply for canada in the first place?.. is it worth it? try to put yourself together.. take a good vacation and free your mind, and always think positive... dont let yourself down on the "what if's"...
