I'm trying to figure out how many of the 35 mm by 45 mm pictures I need. The medical office took some there and attached it to the file but I've heard I need 9 total even though the checklist says 2 for US citizens immigrating to Canada. Can some one clarify how many I need not including the medical pictures? I tried to find it on this site but the only things I could find were from more than 5 years ago and I know this new electronic medical system is well new. So if someone could clarify since its 25$ for each set of 2 and that is a lot of money.

I submitted 4. I was too cheap to pat the cost so I formatted my picture on the computer after taking it so it matched the requirements. I had wallet size prints made up and carefully cut each size to proper size they want. And it was accepted. Now, a year later my local walmart is offering 2 passport photos for $10.

And they accepted only 4?

Pollen,

If you look on the country-specific guidelines, the United States has a requirement of (4) sponsorship photos for your application.

As far as medical photos go, that only depends on the office you make your appointment with. Every doctor's office has different requirements, mine required 1 passport photo, for example. Call your CIC Panel Approved physician and book an appointment and they will let you know what you need to bring with you.

Medical is already done they took the photo themselves. So 4 is the magical number! Thanks!
