Pictures, plane, stubs, calling cards – what to send and how?

Dear Silver Spirit,

Is it too much if I asked to see your list of inventory you sent in with you application? I have an interview in September and I am trying to gather as much evidence as I possibly can to present to the IO just in case they ask for evidence post marriage. I just would like to be very prepared for my interview seeing that I have a previous immigration history in Canada and I married to my partner under the same-sex category.

Your help would be kindly appreciated.

Sorry for posting a million questions!

I know I started this asking about photos and such. But I haven’t been able to get an answer for this question yet. So I was hoping someone would be able to answer a bit of it.

Basically my husband has been deported from Greece before. Another person on this forum was kind enough to tell me that he will most likely be asked for a court document showing his deportations. We are now in the process of trying to get such a thing but keep running into issues, so we don't get stalled later on trying to get it.

1.) Greek Consulate & Embassy said someone can apply for it on his behalf. He needs a lawyer to do so. Basically the lawyer would get a declaration from him saying its fine for so&so to get the paper, and then another lawyer in Greece would fetch it for us.

2.) When I contacted the Greek Embassy again they said he must apply for it in person, which is impossible as he doesn't have a visa for Greece so if he did apply for it in person I'm assuming they would just arrest him and deport him again.

Has anyone ever had to get this document from any Country? If so what steps were taken? We have all our forms filled out, everything ready to be shipped off. Just waiting on this one last paper so he can go for his medical, as the designated medical person for Albania said he would be able to just pop in anytime as their not busy.

My other question is – on the Greek criminal record check it doesn’t show up that he was ever deported? Do criminal record checks normally just list larger things, like actual criminal offences? He has been speaking with a lawyer in Greece (as he had to hire the lawyer to get the criminal record check) and the lawyer in Greece is adamant that there is no way to find out he would ever be deported ..... which I don’t see how that can be as last time he was deported I watched as his information was input into some computer system – and they were able to see that he had been deported before ....... I don’t want to take that chance, and do not want to tell lies and be deceitful on the application. So I would really like to find out how I get this paper showing deportations – as I keep being told different things.

Does anyone know how much weight cards have? Christmas, birthday, etc? I'm not sending a single one, because my husband and I don't really do that hahaha. Or gift receipts. See, we lived together and even apart with finances and all we just rather save the money. We know we love each other, we don't need to always prove it that way. We spend all our money in travel!

I hope they don't have much weight, because we really only have one. I tend towards going out to a really nice restaurant to celebrate a birthday, but cards cost like $4-5 and I'd rather spend that money on food since money is tight for me lately.

The one card we do have is one I sent for Valentine's Day in 2009. I think we ought to send it, but I hope the content doesn't raise objections. It has two naked men on it, seen from the side in a fetal type pose (we are both men). I'm hoping that won't shock anybody at CIC. It's all we have in terms of cards.

We do have gift receipts, but they're almost all from me to him because he has been unemployed for much of our relationship (even when we started "dating" on the Internet).

My husband and I sent eachother many, many, many *online* cards for many years, but unfortunately, the site doesn't allow me to open old cards (they basically disappeared ). I only have the email that said the link to the cards. Will this be enough?
We only have one physical card, we will be sending a copy of it, but it is unfortunate we lost so many cards and the messages in them.

i had same thing. lol my spouse sending me these cards allways lol and some from long time after they expire.so i send them only thiese emails. and no problem

Hi again everyone,
Just going through all my papers, pictures, letters of support and such over and over again. Does anyone know how you get the skype information showing video chats? I have a mac desktop & a mac laptop and cannot figure it out!
Feeling good about my other “evidence” though ... just need the skype video call history as we use it quite often so I’m sure it would be helpful!

So far how does this sound, again, sorry I am so repetitive, I’m just so worried & paranoid and would like to have everything as perfect as possible so the whole thing goes speedy!

- Scans of plane tickets and the online receipt for the trips I don’t have the plane ticket stubs from
a.) showing first time I met him late October 2008
b.) when I returned and we lived together
c.) when I went to his home Country with him
d.) when I returned to his home country a second time and we got married June 4 2010 we were married.

- Pictures of our relationship
a.) First time he and I met – at a bar, at a beach, with some of my friend
b.) when he and I lived together first time, beach photos mainly
c.) in his home country, at a cafe with friends, at church together, on walks and such
d.) when I returned and we married – photos with his family, friends, he and I out and about at various restaurants, sightseeing, church, and in a relative’s garden
e.) should I include photos of wedding bands?? Or for instance we have the same birth mark on or writs and we took a picture of it since we always joke about how alike we are.

-Scans of calling cards, skype calls from June to now, some telus landline calls from February to now. I don’t have anything to account for November 08 – January 09 as I was using calling cards.
-Letter of support from my parents, aunts, friends, and same from his family & friends
-Letter from my boss stating my employment & wage
-2 congratulatory cards
-2 little notes his 12-year-old sister gave me. One the first time I was in his home Country and leaving saying how she would miss me, the second when I went to get married and her writing how she thought we are a nice couple (she attached that one to a bouquet of flowers and left it in our room.... so cute!)
-Emails sent between he and I, all written in his language and translated into English by one of his friends.
-Screen shots of my facebook mailbox showing more emails sent between us, and screen shots of our “walls” on facebook with people congratulating us and sweet little things written between us
-Emails sent between myself and my mother speaking of my relationship with him for the very first day I met him and told her all about the fabulous man I had met.

Photos of your wedding rings and the birthmarks would be good - just include an explanation of what the birthmarks mean to you two.

If you have a photo of this bouquet, include it.

-Emails sent between he and I, all written in his language and translated into English by one of his friends.

Include a signed document from this friend stating his name, the language translated, and that he swears it is a true translation of the original. This makes it look as official as possible.
