I believe the document checklist says 20 MAXIUMUM... however, I see posts with people submitting over 100.

How many is "allowed"? How many should we submit?

I think it is specific to everyone's situation. For my husband and I, we needed to provide a bit more proof because we didn't have everything they exactly wanted. I think we submitted around 25 pictures of us, and about 20 pages of proof from other sources.

I think they just don't want people to go overboard. 100 plus isn't needed.

regardless what others submit for theirs, stick with the checklist. It is there for a reason. You can send more if you like. Best case: you will give your VO more unnecessary work thus taking more time to process your app.

Worst case, your VO will return your application and wont even look at it simply because you couldn't follow directions

i submitted 20 pictures.

1 picture for the wedding
1 picture for the engagement
1 picture for the honeymoon
1 picture for the first date
1 picture with friends
1 picture with family
1 picture at a church event
1 picture at a family event
1 picture during my going-to-canada party
...i can't remember the rest. lol

honestly, 20 pictures are a lot of pictures. i remember me and my wife took way too much time figuring out what other pictures we can send them.

I submitted 20 but they asked for more .. then i sent them 26 more ..

Now u decide !!! No harm in sendn them more ..just make sure all ur ceremonies r covered ..

So at what point in time does "Maximum 20 Pictures" translate into sending 25 or 30 or 50? Send a maximum of 20....if they want or need more they will ask for them. Part of the reason for asking for a maximum of 20 is that people were sending 100's and delaying the process. They are making an effort to meet the 12 month maximum processing time.Just an opinion, but if I was the one processing applications that failed to follow instructions it would either: A) be processed really slowly, B) Demand further scrutiny as to why you feel the need to include so many pictures (what are you trying to hide) or C) sent back as incorrect. Learn to follow instructions people!

The forms and procedures changed dramatically about half a year ago. Before, you could send as many photos as you liked, and some people sent hundreds. These posts are still on the forums, so it was probably people who applied before the forms changed who were sending in 100 photos. Now, the forms specifically say to only send 20 photos, so that is what you should do. If the visa officer decides he or she needs more evidence, they will ask for more photos later.

At first reading i understood them to be asking for a max 20 photos but then i re read the checklist and i understood it to say include your wedding photos and 20 max photos from other places and times. i ended up sending a selection of 20 photos from our wedding and another 20 from different places and times. i cant imagine theyd reject an application based on that. i found this process to be confusing at many points due to unclear/missing directives. rejecting an application based on any of these would be unfortunate.
