Thanks guys all of u helped. I am taking into consideration the pictures that i chose. Mostly are of us alone not much with other ppl... many from our wedding and a bit of our honeymoon. We have been together for 8 yrs so the pictures show the age difference i hope that is taken into account.
I dont have that much pictures of us with his family other than wedding pictures, do u think that is a prob??
You can only guess what the CIC Officer will be looking to see. It's subjective. As a rule of thumb, they want you to prove you have a genuine and continuing relationship. 8 years is powerful, yes. Would you not having any real family photos raise questions after 8 years -- maybe.
The approach we took to selecting photos was this:
- a few selfies at different stages doing different things.
- try to show as much activites with my wife as we could. Show as much fun as possible. Time together is a positive indicator.
- try to show several photos over time with my son as well doing activities and having fun. This means I have exposed them to each other and the bond is growing. Another positive indicator.
- try to show us engaging and having fun with family at events. This means they are engaged and supportive (usually). Another positive indicator.
- show anniversaries, honeymoon, and wedding.
Then I had two independent people provide an impartial opinion on what photos we collected. Tell them to devoid their minds of our relationship, and to provide an unbiased opinion. Remember, you are invested in this, so what may seem obvious to you, may be lacking for others.
That's my opinion.
Best of luck.
