Picking up the passport

I just got an email saying that my visa is approved and my guess is that the embassy will send my passport through a courier shortly.

Problem is, I don't trust this courier since it took them around three weeks to send my documents to the embassy, located only few hundred kilometers away and within the same country.

Do you think I should ask the embassy if I could come and pick up the passport in-person ?

i don't think you will be able to pick it up personally because you have already opted for courier delivery.

if you applied through VAC/VFS then try calling at their no. and ask them

Hi sorry for the late reply.

I picked up the passport today - the courier delivered the document much faster than I thought.

I applied for the visa in Saudi Arabia so there is no category. When the embassy started processing my application, it took them 5 days to approve it.
