I believe my father's bank statement should work since I can withdraw money from his foreign bank account in any ATM machine supporting master cards in Canada.

Hi sorry for the late reply. I picked up the passport today - the courier delivered the document much faster than I thought. I applied for the visa in Saudi Arabia so there is no category. When the embassy started processing my application, it took them 5 days to approve it. Thanks.
