Congrats !!! Normally the passports are mailed within 2 weeks after submission of complete & correct form.
You can fill online Passport Application, pay the required fee, have 2 photo as per specification, take the signature of your guarantor and mention references and either submit personally or mail it.
There is advantage of submitting personally. Being the first passport, if there is something missing or incorrect the officer can guide you to submit correct form. If you mail & there was any mistake it will be returned, you will waste time and money.
Depending upon your urgency, you can pay more to get it within 48 hours or apply for regular and get it in 2 weeks.
