Hello all.
I am a MD Medicine graduate and have 3 years of work experience as a healthcare manager. I understand the NOC for healthcare managers is different than that of physicians. Would i still be eligible to apply for express entry using my degree, which is verified by MCC and have received the ECA report, with the work experience i have under healthcare manager NOC ?
thank you

Oh okay. Understood.
so under which category will i be placed ? And what are the chances with a crs score of 475 ?
You would be placed under the general FSW stream. There is no chance of being selected with a score of 475. Review recent draw scores. You need well above 500.

You are under FSW and have no chance. Focus is on CEC draws and even those scores are over 500. Last FSW only draw and scores were over 530.

Thank you very much for the valuable insight. I cannot tell you how much i appreciate this information ! Now instead of wasting time and money in applying for PR directly, I will look for master’s courses i can pursue using my MD Medicine degree. Thank you again.

Btw, will completing 1 year masters degree in Kinesiology will have the same benefits as a 2 years degree when it comes to apply for PR ?

If for Canada then your program must show career advancement in home country with higher pay then you make now to justify costs. If already a manager then how wil a masters help your career. Don’t expect to get a job in Canada in healthcare management.

Not really. You have ECA from MCC so that is highest degree. You don’t get more points for Masters.

Understood. Correct me if I’m wrong, but i read about a program called OINP which states that upon completion of Master’s from the province of Ontario, I’ll be eligible to apply for PR directly through it. Also in case you did not get this, but I am situated outside Canada right now, having completed my degree from elsewhere and thinking about moving there one way or the other.
