Has anybody got a physical visit to your employers place. Please share your experiences.

Actually yes I heard about it especially in Singapore VO, many applicants in this forum reported that Visa Officers had paid visit to their work place.

Please let us Know about the details if it happened to you.

No this has not happened to me but I have been told this by a forum member and hence I am asking this.

I have applied under NOC 6242 Chef and cook. My visa office is NDVO and my employer received a call from the embassy for verification already.

Anbody from NDVO gone through same experience please share.

My current status is IN PROCESS with processing date. I am still waiting for my medicals.

It would be nice to have a visit from them. But I never had. However I have heard undercover visits are being done RARELY

They just come and pose as some other person to see your real status in the organization.

I have heard that some one had his application with CIC for 7 years. They visited the employer and showed the 7 years old photo to the receptionist and ask whether she knows him. She refused and his application refused as well.

If it is true its pretty mad. How come they know that the receptionist was their for the past 7 years.

I doubt it anyway. Yet anything is possible in this world.

Sorry. Probably, I couldn't explain it correctly. The guy claimed that he still work there. The photos he had provided was without moustaches and beard. The receptionist couldn't recognised the photo. I am sure they asked her for how long she has been working there and does she know all the employees in the company.

No No No, If they ever visited any one at his/her work place, they go straight forward to the person who signed the paper and ask about their concern. there is no need to go undercover and play hide and seek.
There was topic of this issue in this forum two years ago, and most of the visit were in Singapore VO, and couple in ND VO. as far as I Remember .

Even if they go undercover, what will they represent themselves as Salesmen??????
Iam sure no organization with give information about any staff, till the person gives proper indentification.

I have another example. They rang one employer in Pakistan to confirm whether the applicant work there. The employer respond " Yeah, he works here. it is very good that he wants to go to Canada. He is totally useless, please, please for God sake take him to your country, I am completely fed up from him and this is the best way that I can get rid of him." He said some other similar stuff as well.

I have heard the application was refused.

You see most of these South Asian employers are thankless people. They don't pay well and make them work more than what they get paid for.

In zub2612s reply; I think Canadian High Commission should never rely on these replies given by those people.
