Physical Presence Question

Hi guys-
As a daily commuter, I understand we have to declare daily (8am to 5pm work) trips to US while applying online for citizenship at Physical Presence step. I have about 700 daily work trips in last 3 years to US.
So I am listing all the entries, started from early 2020. If I enter some of the days (daily work trips) based on assumption and later if it turns out I never left Canada on those days, will that be just fine as I am over declaring the daily trips? In other words, I am entering most of the days in 2020 as daily work trips (during COVID time), but I do not remember if I really crossed the border or I was just working from home.

(I still cannot access the i94 CBP travel history and already ordered the FOIA but I do not want to wait for it and I have enough buffer past 1095 requirement).

Also I entered 580 daily trips online and it is not letting me enter more than it. When I try to enter new trip, it kicks me out saying- "We are Experiencing Technical Difficulty.

Pls advise.

I am a daily commuter and will be applying for citizenship later on. Have the same question on the hundreds of daily trip to be entered into the physical presence tool as well. As to adding more trips beyond 580, have you sorted it out? Are you working on an online application or paper-based application (using physical presence calculator online tool)?

I added trips on online portal and then I created a spreadsheet (simple excel workbook) and added remaining (approx 400 trip) in the spreadsheet. I also created a letter of explanation saying what I did. I am applying online. I have not submitted the application yet.

Thank you for sharing! Out of curiosity - have you considered contacting IRCC for this question? It seems like a technical issue in the online tool. Not sure if they can give us some guidance / their preference - ultimately it would be easier for our case to be reviewed.

Oh man, that's brutal! Just off the topic curious, so you pay taxes US taxes and then file/ claim credits in Canada since you are a tax resident?

Good idea. I have not talked to them yet. I am thinking to leave good enough buffer before applying.

I have question regarding online physical calculation, for which I need clarification.

Q1- Within my 5-year eligibility period, example 20 July 2018 up to 19 July 2023, I was not inside Canada on 20 July 2018, and was in UAE, but the calculator considers this date 20 July 2018 towards your credit, to be inside Canada. Is that fine and normal?
And I cannot put the date before 20 July 2018 when i travel out from Canada ie 15 Feb 2018,, because its before eligibility period? How i can handel it.
CAN i add my date to travel out of Canada in the reason section? Please guide me in this regard.
