hello
im currently a Canadian permanent resident since oct 2014, i ve already accumulated almost 2 years and 6 months out of the 3 years for my citizenship requirement. so my question is, when renewing my Pr card when it expires, do i start another new 5 years cycle and lose the days ive already accumulated in Canada ( 2 1/2 years) ???? or its always counted as 5 years back from the date of application???
do i need to start over accumulating my 1095 days again everytime i renew my pr card???

thank you

5 years prior to application signature date. Renewing your PR card doesn't make you "lose" any days towards your physical presence requirement. They keep adding up.

Nope, you just keep accruing the days. Don't forget that you can count some days before you became PR towards your 1095 days. You just need to have at least 3 years worth of days physically present as PR

Also, don't forget that it's a rolling 5 years period, so in Oct 2019, days from Oct 2014 will start dropping off the beginning of the window.

Well, were you in Canada before getting your PR, like as an international student, or working on a work permit? If so, those days count as half, for maximum 1 year. So if you were in Canada before becoming a PR for 2 years, you have your 1 year and you can apply.

Now for PR, you can travel up until the date printed on there, so if it was November 19th 2019, then you'd be able to enter until the end of Nov 18th just to be sure. Yeah, you can travel as long as you have a valid PR card as that's how you'd get back into the country.

Yes i ve been a sturdent from 2007-2014

You should be able to apply, you need to count the days you were here as a student.
