One query for my spouse who will be applying next month for citizenship:
She visited two countries - one for 5 days (official) and then another (home country) for 7 days early this year one after the other before coming back to Canada. She in fact, flew to one and returned from another.
How is this entered in the calculator?
Can she select one country and enter the entry and exit days from/ to Canada and explain the other country's name in the remarks?
The other way is to make it in two different entries with the two countries selected; but then she has not returned to Canada on the "To" date after the first visit.
Any thoughts or experience?

I experienced the same situation. I put in the first destination as the actual destination and used the notes section to explain that I also visited a second country. Ultimately, they are looking for the number of days you spent outside of the country, not where you spent them (obviously, if you spent A LOTS of days, that's an another issue).

Hope this helps.

I was on a Caribbean cruise that started from the US - so i did the same ..mentioned US as the country and the fact that i visited the Caribbean in the remarks section.

Thanks all for the responses. I will also fill the first country and give the second one in remarks as that seems to be the best option.
