Hi all,

I moved to Canada as PR and never went outside Canada for over 3 years (1224 days).

What should I select for the question -

Did you leave Canada between 2016-03-13 and 2021-03-12? Answer 'Yes' if you left Canada for any reason including vacation, work, business, family matters, school, illness, etc.

I never left Canada however I lived in India in 2016 before moving as PR.

Please advise.

Hi I wonder what happened with regards with your questions. What answer did you select yes or no . I'm in the same situation. Hope you can reply . Thanks

I selected yes and entered my home country's details, address, duration dates, etc. And, there was an option to add a comment or note where I explained that "I moved to Canada as PR in 2017 and never went outside Canada till now. However I lived in India in 2016 before moving to Canada as PR."

Eventually, it didn't count the days I spent in my home country.

Hopefully this information is helpful and I'm not too late :)

Please help with dates :
Eligibility period is 2016-06-22 to 2021-06-21
Application date 2021-06-22

What to enter in "TO" date on application form

I am filling the application form above mentioned dates from calculator is not matching with application
so what should I enter in application form in TO date

You must recalculate your physical presence (opens in a new tab) if we return the application because

  • the application form and the calculator printout have different application dates (they must be the same)
  • your calculation is incorrect
    • double-check your calculation
    • include all the times you spent outside Canada in 3 out of the last 5 years
  • you didn’t sign or date your application form
  • you submitted an outdatedapplication form
  • it’s dated either
    • more than 90 days before we receive it, or
    • into the future (post-dated)
Make sure the application form and the calculator printout have the same application date.

Eligibility period is 2016-06-22 to 2021-06-21
if I enter 2021-06-21 in TO date of application form it changes 2016-06-22 to 2016-06-21

Redo the physical presence calculator carefully. The dates can't be a mismatch or your application won't be accepted.

Hi,
I did all again but every time i enter TO date 2021-06-21 in application form as per eligibility date 2016-06-22 to 2021-06-21 it automatically fill from date 2021-06-21 instead 2016-06-22

What is being updated in the application form is correct. The last date of eligibility period = the previous date from the current day. You don't have to stress about it.
