Yeah mine doesn't get how much work it is at all. After all the fuss it was to go over the forms I said "Imagine if you actually had to fill them out!" It took me weeks to complete the application.

Bad news though, when we got his chest xray for the medical, there's something in the upper left lung. The doc doesn't want to sent the report until we can confirm what it is and start treatment. We went to a specialist today and the plan is that he will take a 10 day bout of antibiotics that would clear up any infection. We then come back for a new chest xray. If the thing is gone, we are good. If it is not gone it is possibly TB, Cancer, who knows and he will have to have a CT and go through further testing. I hope to God it is only an infection and if any of you people pray or communicate to a higher power in any way, please do that for me. Immigration is hard enough when everyone is healthy, paperwork is on the back burner for now while we wait for 10 days and hope that it's only an infection.

I thought that spouse applications couldn't be declined for medical stuff, so to me we should just sent it all anyways but the doc looks really old and had a lot of certificates on his wall so he probably knows what's up.

Hi agarand8, sorry to hear this and for sure I will pray for you and your husband. Immigration is a tough journey and none of us need any extra burdens. I do think it is wise to wait and see what the next x-ray shows and hopefully it will be all clear. You are correct in that spouses are exempt from the requirement; however, it is still easier for all of this to be sorted out now. When your husband lands (depending on province/territory) he may not be eligible for health care for 3 months and if you try to get private coverage, they could refuse him for something like this. Think of it as your "practice" wait to build your long term immigration "waiting muscle" ;). Blessings coming your way.
