Photographs for PCC and DOB certificate

Hi,

Are photographs required for PCC and DOB certificate ?
The CIC website says that we require but the consulate website does not specify this in the requirements.

Pls advise. Thanks..

dude....If you are from india, you have to give 1- 35x35 mm photo for pcc and no photo for dob certificate.

CIC just gives you some information on how to get your PCC and DOB certificates and they are not the one's who actually provide you those. So rely on the consulate or the related services like vfs website info.

Indian Consulate issues DOB certificate based on your passport details - and they mention that in the certificate

My application was returned back with an explanation that CIC doesn't recognize passport as a proof for DOB - if birth certificate is not available, they accept school/college leaving certificate or matriculation/secondary passing certificate. This document should have your DOB and also one of your parent's name. otherwise, affidavit is required

I applied for Indian PCC through VFS in June-2012 and they said 2 passport photos are not required. They said that Indian consulate officers may request for 4 photos later if required, but they never asked me.
