Hello,

I just received photo resubmission request for my PR Card. (from: permanent-resident-card@cic.gc.ca) I'm a PNP nominee from Nova Scotia.
The situation is I am in another province(Alberta) at the moment for 20 days and need to submit photos in 30 days time.

If I take the photographs from another province, mention the studio name and address would they track and delay processing my card?
I'm bit worried as the mailing address is in Nova Scotia for my PR Card processing centre. Is there anyone who has been thru this situation? Do I need to worry if I send the Photographs from another province (That includes studio name, address and date)

Thanks in advance for your guidance and advice.

The letter states as below :

This letter is to inform you that your photo submission has been received by our office. The photos submitted to this office do not meet
the required specifications. Your Permanent Resident (PR) Card cannot be issued without a compliant/acceptable photo.

You must send:

Two (2) new photos that meet the specifications set out in the attached document.

If we do not receive the requested information within 30 days of the date above, your application for a permanent resident card will be
considered cancelled.

Please note that a valid Canadian address is necessary for us to be able to send you your Permanent Resident Card.

Please return this letter and photos by mail to:

Others can comment as well as I do not have a firm answer but common sense says that a PR card photo is the same specification wherever it is taken whether in Alberta or NS. You are returning the photos to the process center in NS, the address for the processed card to be mailed to is NS so not sure I see a problem.

Look at another way someone does a soft landing returns to home country gets the same letter and gets the photos done in home country are IRCC going to waste time calling the photographer when all they interested in is that the photos are the correct specification and they have a Canadian address to mail to, doubtful.

Never really understood a requirement to put studio name etc on back as proves nothing other than photo taken by a commercial photographer and unless a studio keeps your details as well , otherwise it is just a random photo to the studio.
