Hey everyone!
I'm scanning my husband and I's passports and the picture page looks weird after I scan it. Does it matter that the scanner messes up the photo? Does it need to look perfect?
The rest of the pages on the passport look fine when scanned.

try to scanned it again maybe you can get a good one cuz for me its better to send them a good one so it will not be question in my opinion :)

That's what I was thinking.
I think what's making the photo mess up is the weird colors that passport photos have. If you know what I'm talking about?

Can you change the format in your scanner's settings?

There are settings I can control but I don't know what I could change that would stop the photos from looking weird. As I believe the light from the scanner is probably making the weird colors show up intensely on the scan.

yeah the plastic on the top of the photos flashing back from the light of your scanner , try to look at the scanner instruction/book it might just only there so you can set it

I was having similar issues with my passport scans and found that by pressing down down hard on the lid of my flatbed scanner while the scan is happening really helped. My passport spine was kinda stiff so it was not laying flat and i think that had something to do with it maybe trapping/reflecting the light.

You can also try that combined with rotating the passport so that the light hits it differently maybe.

Good luck!

Ooh, good advice!! Yeah my laptop isn't right next to my printer/scanner so I'd put it under there and then have to walk away to press scan. Now that I think about it though, I bet I can start the scan from my printer....
And then I'd be able to push down. I will also try turning it different ways. Thank you!! :)

hi leahdoll hows the scan passport ,? hope you got the good one now ,, ;)

Sorry! haven't had the chance to retry it today! Will let you know as soon as I try it! :)
