I am including mine with the initial application. For interview, I'll take the originals with me plus any other documents required.

Do you guys need to provide the employment/income info to prove presence with the initial application or do you wait until the interview when the officer ask for them?

SO, in the Application, one need to mention the TITLE if one worked during the period? I thought you just put WORK or EDUCATION since in the guide or the application itself, it doesn't mention to write down the title of your job....

Also, how many year's NOAs are needed to be included with the initial application?

Thanks.

Yes, under "Work/Education" you can put your work title such as Sales Rep/Manager etc. Under work documents you need to submit 4 years NOA/T4 if you are in Canada as PR for 4 years or 3 years if landed in early 2011 (Tax year 2011, 2012 & 2013.)

Thank you very much.

But, I didn't find this requirement any where in the Document Check List OR in the Instruction Guide. So, do we send them voluntarily or is is really a requirement?

I had the same question, but then I thought, if I just write "work", they won't know what exactly I was doing. So I put my job title. I also included photocopies of my T4 for the 4 years, a recently signed employment letter, job duties/responsibilities, most recent paystub.

Hello Guys,

I appreciate you share your knowledge and experience to help each other.

I also completed my 1095 days requirement as of today and soon will be sending citizenship application. The only thing that is bothering me is Question 6. F (i know this has been discussed a lot)

As it says (work and education history in past 4 years) so my case would be 3 years in "Canada" and 1 year in UK (Before landing in Canada).

I have every documentation regarding work in Canada that i can provide but Unfortunately i do not have pay slips etc.. while i was working in Uk.

can someone please advise that how can i get out of this situation ??

So CIC looks only the Canadian work experience ?? or they will be checking on my previous work in Uk before landing in Canada ??

Thanks

1. Have you called/emailed your last employer asking them for some kind of confirmation letter that you worked there? The letter should state when you starting working there, your position, when you stopped working there, salary, etc.

2. Do you have bank statements that show the salary coming in from them?

CIC looks at the last 4 years. They are not trying to see if you have work experience. They want to know what you were doing and where you were during those 4 years. If you can't get any proof, fill out the forms with the information you have and attach a cover letter explaining why you could provide a letter from your previous employer.

Thanks a lot,

Yes i tried to contact the company in UK but there is no response as of yet. I really doubt that i have bank statements.

I guess the cover letter would be my last hope.

cheers,

Can you log into the account you had in the UK online? If so, you can search your account to see if there are still some records showing the money come in. In Canada, I think they keep the online records for 7 years (if I'm not mistaken).

Also, normally as a standard practice people keep past records.

I am assuming you kept something by way of basic minimum of your past work records (incl. from the UK). Letter, Fax, email, payslip, combination of these. You cant have worked and had no paper trail at all ? Good Luck !

I closed my bank account before coming Canada.

The only thing i found is the P45 (Tax document mentioning i left work on specific date) and it mentions the address well. So i guess i will attach it and i hope that i get some reply from my previous employer.
