Photo Requirement

Hi,

I know the hard copy photo requirement as this link explains:

But based on my online research this requirement comes when CIC asks for the Passport.

But the digital photo requirement comes while submitting the documents (what I found online). So, could you please tell me what are the digital photo specification requirements? in terms of size should it also be 2 X 2 3/4 in as the size required for the hard copy of the photos?

Click on the ? mark against the photo field when you upload documents. All requirements are mentioned there.

Is the face size in the photo as mentioned should be from forehead to chin = 31 to 36in or from top of the head to chin ?

Forehead to chin min 31 cm and from top of head to chin 36 cm

I told the same to a photographer and he took the picture with total face length of 45mm.

By the way, can you confirm if there is any requirement to upload DIGITAL photo ?

I don't understand your question. Yes a digital photo needs to be uploaded after ITA.

Forehead to chin min 31 cm and from top of head to chin 36 cm

my picture is showing forehead to chin is more then 36mm. I think I should get it taken again from a better photographer.

If you don't want to use a photographer, there are many apps on google or ios store that can be used. Many people on forum have submitted those pictures without any issue.

I got the digital photo done but the Pixels of the picture are showing 413 x 531 in properties.

The required pixels must be at least 420 x 540. I tried fixing it in paint but when I increase the pixels the size increases also and then when I reduce the size to 35x45mm pixels get reduce back to 413x531.

Please advise !

Upload it. Check whether that pixel requirement is for scanned photos?

The requirement says "The physical dimensions in pixels must be at least 420 x 540." it doesn't say anything about scanned photos.

Hi,

I got my picture fixed with over 420X540 pixels BUT dimensions are now showing 35.1X45MM.

It is .1mm more than required, I personally tried to fix it but not able to fix it. Do you think this might create an issue later ?
