Read a post about photos required to be less than 6 months old when they open the application .

Is that true or should they be less than 6 months old at receipt?

Because the photo specification page from IRCC simply states " they should be less than 6 months old".

I am worried that if the first one is true, by the time they open my application my photos will be
a few days older than 6 months and my application will be returned.

No, you are all right. It won't be returned.

From the date the photographer date stamped the reverse of the photograph.
I know. what I am asking is , is it 6 months from the date on the photo to receipt or is it 6 months from the date on the photo to opening of the application?

Educated guess: the day you sign your application, photos should not be older than 6 months. Worst case, the day the application is received.

When they open the application is out of your control, so that cannot be the reference, IMO.

the date they received means the date of delivery OR AOR, because AOR issued atleast 2-3 months after
