Hello,
I have taken the snaps of me and my parents as per the photo sizes and requirement shown by CIC but I am slightly confused that the photographer left the border at the bottom of our pictures while he cutted the borders from all remaining three sides. Is it OK to leave the bottom side with it's border??

Your parents? You only need photos of you, your spouse and children.
 
Hey, you can cut off this border yourself ;)

And your parents' photos are not required for the application. You need to enclose photo only for those included as your dependants.
 
No photos of your parents are required. Just of you. Your parents aren't dependents and can't be included as dependents in your application.
