In submitting photo evidence, we have pics of the two of us together for three different visits, as well as pics of me with her friends, family, boss, and community leader. We also have tons of shots with just one of us in the pic.

1) Do the pics submitted have to be of BOTH of us?

2) I've read on how some applications have the pictures loose, and others have the pictured edited four to a standard page (with details written below). Can the latter be done, or is there a requirement the pictures be loose and have to be originals 9as opposed to 4 to a page on bond paper)?

Thanks!

1. It's preferred, otherwise it doesn't prove that you were there together, right?

2. It's never a good idea to send originals as you may never see them again! Placing multiple photos on a single sheet, with details, is fine.

Good luck!

Are your pics digital? If yes, simply use Word, Excel or any other program to arrange them "album style". I got about 6 pics per page & captioned them below/beside accordingly. BOTH of you (with or without friends/family) only for sure!

As long as they're clear & legible I don't see why not.

Disagree. The photos don't all have to have both of them. Out of around 80 photos we sent, only 15 or so actually had both of us in them. Many of our photos only had one of us in them, as the other was the person taking the photo. Photos of my partner's first trip to Canada were mostly only of him, with local scenery or my family members. We had pics of our home in the UK and of our pets that didn't have either of us in them.

When my husband and I sent pictures we sent pictures of both of us together, some pictures of just him and some pictures of just me. The problem is is that when you're on vacation just the two of you, sometimes you don't get to have shots together or the majority of the shots are just one of you. We made sure to have pictures of us in the same locations... ex: if he was on the beach in one shot by himself, I was on the beach in the other shot by myself. Some pictures were of just him and my dad doing things together. We sent a ridiculous amount of pictures as well, so they probably got tired of looking at them all. Haha.

One thing to note with your photo evidence, regardless of the contents of the photo is to give a detailed explanation below each one. For example, with mine I would write under each photo the following:

Photo of John Smith and Jane Smith on May 30th, 2010; taken by a Janice Smith (John Smith's Mother). John and Jane went camping with John’s family in Ontario.

This way they know the way each photo relates to the principle applicant and the sponsor and helps support your application!

My wife and I only sent one set of pictures for both with our application packet and we made an index that identified that the pictures and the additional support documents applied to both the sponser's and primary applicant's applications.
