Hi Everyone,
My husband's Application to Sponsor was approved back on May 22, 2013.
I sent my Application for Permanent Residency to the Canadian Embassy in Makati on November 21, 2013. They received it via LBC the very next day.
To date, the good people at the Embassy sent me an email asking for additional info regarding my application. I sent the info they want in a PDF on March 30, 2014.
Now we are waiting like everyone, it seems.
Should I call the good people at the Embassy to know the status of MY application? It's been 7 months since they received MY application.
Should I email them?
What do you think?

If you are beyond the processing time listed for the Makati office, then yes, call or email them to find the status of your application. If you are not beyond the listed processing time then you will not get many answers out of them. If they asked for information from you in March then they are actively working on your application so you should try to be patient.

Hi,regarding to your concerned,I also experienced that kind of worries while waiting for the response of the Canadian Embassy,my question to you is...did the canadian embassy gave you or to your spouse a so called UCI #?If so,then your documents were in process...all you have to do is to check through online using UCI #. Actually I just received my immigrant visa few days ago and I've been waiting for that for 9months..so you really need to be patient in regards for that matter. Hope my info would help you Goodluck and keep praying

Thx Alurra and Paulkeith. yes, we have a so called UCI number so suppose all is well.
When my husband calls CPC-M call centre in Mississauga, they always say the waiting time is 14 months.
August 2014 will be the 14th month since my husband was approved as a sponsor.

Hello,
In regards to you concern,its really true that the processing time of Visa from Phil-Canada is 14 months. So all you have to do is to wait,and you can check your status time to time if you want using ur UCI #. Good luck and watch out!

My husband sent his application to sponsor me on April 29, 2013 to CPC-M in Mississauga.
His application was approved May 22, 2013
Then I sent my application for permanent residency to MNL which they received on JUNE 04, 2013
I received my Acknowledgement of Receipt email on November 06, 2013
