Thanks! I'm still about to take the TOEFL next week.
I'll send my application to Seneca, the school I'm applying to, by the last week of June when I get the test results. Thanks for the advice. I was under the impression that the Canadian Embassy here in the Philippines is relatively stricter than others in issuing a visa, hence the "need" for an agent. But I remain skeptical about whether or not their "assistance" is necessary. I was actually looking for a cheap and effective way of completing this entire process of getting a student visa so I googled and luckily found this forum. I'm reading through threads and taking notes and you're right, seems like I could get all the information I need here.
How'd your visa application go, btw?
Looking forward to our success stories!
