hi guys. Any advice would be much appreciated.

So. My sister filed for my visa which took 7yrs and I landed here in Canada last January 2015 as PR. I'm a Registered Nurse back in Phils since 2008 but unfortunately, no experience. I had my documents sent to ICES, called Douglas College, and Kwantlen - and to my dismay, ICES is not needed and i have to register to CRNBC before i can study and become RN. I really want to study to refresh my skills from the time that I wasn't able to practice, and to be honest, I'm not thinking LPN as an option because even if pursuing RN is way harder, it will be worth it at the end of the day. I'm planning to take IELTS first, but after that, I'm pretty much lost.

Do you guys have any idea what's the equivalent of RN in Phils without any experience if I will study to become an RN here? Is there any cases that you know wherein a nurse in Phils took the whole 4-year RN course?

Hi there! I need help and im grateful that i found this forum. Im an RN with10yrsexperience. I tookmy BSN in the Phil and worked in SG. My PR got approved recently and I'm moving to Canada this July. I'm worried coz I wanna work as soon as possible. I have registered with NNAS but while waiting I want to find out how I can work as HCA in BC. Does anyone have idea about theprocess? Thanks

hi.

I am currently completing my NNAS requirements....as well as my brother..Just wanna share.... coz, we just had problems with this processing and their handbook is so vague and confusing..it was said ielts should be 6 months fresh....my brother complied all requirements prior this time.....and by the time they were about to issue Advirory Report its already past 6 months.. thus, he was advised to retake the exam...simply because they need 2 months to process that and with some delays they are currently experiencing..which is no longer within the control of the applicant as well as the slow processof verification in the philippiens....We realized that they should have stated... Ielts must be 4 months or less fres plus the completed docs to arrive an Advisory Report.....coz the other 2 months would be their processing time////\so that by the time an ADvisory report is issued , IELTS is still within 6 months..The way i see it, they are just making it hard for IEN/s as to prioritize their graduates... This process, clearly just a money making and delaying tactics.Seems to me, immigrants such as nurses arent welcomed in this country... If , I'll have a positive Advisory REport hopefully i can open CRNM account...hopefully be scheduled for CCA....Is there anybody here with similar situation> Pls share so updates..Thank you.... God bless us all

Hi there forummates, i was wondering if you could help me on my situation?I was an RN in the philippines and now i'm working under live-in caregiver program and next year if luck knocks I can apply open work permit. I wonder if I can apply as HCA even if I didn't study the course?I'm planning to take CELBAN while still working to pursue my career. It would be great to hear your suggestions..thanks a lot

The SEC for CARNA is now under CRNBC, once you get a SEC assessment notice from CARNA and send them the signed formed they will then forward it to CRNBC, and from there CRNBC will email you saying they have a referral for you take take the SEC, it only takes a few days for this process after which, once you are ready to schedule for your SEC, just email CRNBC regarding the availability of the dates you want to take up SEC. I spoke to one of those who has undergone LPN assessment and she mentioned that she has taken SEC as well for her LPN.

Hi to all..I will receive my open permit next month,i graduated BSN but not registered yet in the Phil.I just applied comprehensive evaluation sa ICEs as 1 of the req.for me to register as BC HCA..next is to take the HCA introduction to practice course..is it better to start as HCA or LPN na?thank u po sa sasagot..
Yan din plan ko. Graduate din ako ng BSN sa Pinas but not registered, wala din work experience as a Nurse. Question is, need ba talaga natin magprovide ng "employment reference"(from work experience as a nurse or HCA within 5years) kahit na wala nmn experience. Pwede po ba patulong ano pwede gawin about dun?

Thank You spongebob! Just a follow up question, are you familiar too if it takes a year or two to wait for CCA(lpn)? Thank you very much!
