Philippine nurses: Pinoy RN License Canada

Hello Everyone,

I am a Registered Nurse in Philippines and currently applying for working visa as Live-in Caregiver in Canada (BC).
I want to be a Nurse in Canada (My passion) and I'm just wondering if I can file for assessment in BC few months after I landed there (Soon).

Any manitoba nurses here who talso take hca course? Any tips for a new immigrant like me? I dont have experience in nursing field as I went to uk to study nvq level 3 in adult health and social care. Also I managed to get a job their as a h.c.a/support worker. I also finished thenvq course and lucky to have a certifiction. Unfortunately here in canada they are requiring the manitoba standards which is quite hard for me to provide. Im planning to take hca certification and have a survival job while im still completing my requirments and have time to review. Is it good action?in addition to that, which is easier to obtain, rpn or crn? Help pls. Thanks

hello!

im a nurse here in the philippines. and i want to be a nurse in canada. i already had my assessment and the cno is asking for documents... but i have a little problem because they're asking me for an immigration status, permanent residency or refugee program document. obviously i do not have that because i came from the philippines.

with the exam, i plan to apply for a tourist visa however the document for my canadian residency... i do not have anything to submit. does anybody here experienced the same from the cno? any tips pls? thank you!

what a touching story, i cried while reading your post. We have the same predicament, I am also an RN, and a pinoy. Finding a nursing job, and even training as a nurse in the Pinas is very difficult. I have taken into consideration applying abroad. What school did you attend in taking your Practical Nursing Program? Is it BVC?

RN po ako here sa pinas...without experience nga lang..and luckily may employer na po ako sa canada as live.in caregiver..
but i still want to aim more and be a nurse there..either LPN or RN..
can u lay some options for me on how to be a nurse in canada??..
what are the exams that i should take??

What province? First of all you should have ielts academic results of atleast 7 in speaking 7 in writing 6.5 reading and 7.5 listening for a total band score of 7. Then you decide if youre going to take the lpn or rn. Both have different regulatory bodies. You can visit there website for requirements and instructions to be followed

This is for the province of manitoba only. Check other province's college of nursing. They might have different requirements. Hehe kaya pla may mindanao dun.lol

hello what is the standard processing time for LCP application here in the Philippines now?
On October kasi I will go to Dubai to work as a nurse, though my processing of papers for LC in Quebec have already been started last March.
I was wondering if I can file it in UAE, would it be easier or should I just wait here in the Philippines?
Pero naghahanap din kasi ako ng foreign experience which I hope would be helpful for me in canada if I pursue my RN career.

Please help.

Applied for RPN in CNO- Ontario last 2011. They have so many requirements like school TOR, experiences (All since graduation), PRC, IELTS. I submitted and then they give me permission to take the exam, but last November they send me letter that I can withdraw my application if I do not agree to take the Jurisprudence exam.This Jurisprudence exam (all applicant -start January2013) on top of the Nursing part of the exam

Why RPN?- less expensive, no need for bridging program.(My work experience -19years)

keep the faith, we can do it even slowly but by God's grace we can.. God bless Nurses.
