phil passport renewal in toronto

hi everyone..just wondering if i can renew my phil pasport this n0v although it will expire jan 2013. Does the phil consulate accepts renewal this early? coz i am planning to extend my work permit jan 2012 as it wil expire jul2012. and as i understand,the validity of d wp depends on the pasp0rt. Thanks

yes you can.. I renewed mine last year, i was holding the green passport before (d old one) it will expire on 2012 but then i decided to renew it last year to change it to E-passport.
