This is exactly what I am looking for.
Here is the link of the Operation Manual about our cases. It's very useful for everyone.

u r rightGalip said:I read the Operational Manuals and some of the Enforcement Manuals as well.
This is what I understand (please correct me if I am wrong)
Stage 1 - Operated by CPC
They only check the sponsor's eligibility, sponsor's personal status, basic, financial, criminal background check, etc.
Stage 2- Operated by the Visa Office Abroad
They both check the sponsor and sponsored person's eligibiliy, their both criminal background checks and applicant's medicals.
Before I was thinking that they only check the sponsor on the first stage, and the applicant on the second stage. In this way they control the sponsor two times. Once at CPC and twice at VO until they issue the PR visa. Am I right? (I still can't find this information on CIC's site)
7 months is goooooooodHerjeet said:I was reading the CIC London website and it states stage 2 can take upto 7 months!!! O dear!! I hope the average time is far less. I don't think my case is complicated!! Has anyone been approved from London and if so, how long did it take.
the date on ecas is the one the file was received by CIC (Missisauga not the VO); the 7months does not include stage 1 (sponsor approval) hence it starts on the day u got the sponsor approval (which is also the same day with the trasfer of the file)Herjeet said:The London Visa office is indicating upto 7 months to grant PR, I am rather confused on thisOn my Client Application Status, it indicated that the application for Perminent Residency was received on the 19th of March 2012 (same time my sponsorship app was received). Is it 7 months from that date or 7 months from when they get the actual application in London??? Thanks!
Thanks for that!! Hope it is not going to be to long for us!My wife is a British Citizen so hope that helps!! Good luck to you as well!!!R151NG5UN said:The London Visa office is indicating upto 7 months to grant PR, I am rather confused on this On my Client Application Status, it indicated that the application for Perminent Residency was received on the 19th of March 2012 (same time my sponsorship app was received). Hey,
The London VO is indeed indicating up to 7 months to grant PR. My understanding is that it is up to 7 months from when they receive a complete application i.e if they received an application today it could take up until Feb 05 2013. However the international VO processing times was updated on April 23 2012 and they are updated Quarterly (Every 3 months) so next update is due July 23 2012 so hopefully these times will be reduced. Also if you are classified as visa exempt that will speed up the process a little bit. We are all desperate to be with our loved ones and the wait is unbareable but we must be patient and help each other with our processes.
Good luck ;D
That answers my question! Thanks missmini!! ;Dmissmini said:the date on ecas is the one the file was received by CIC (Missisauga not the VO); the 7months does not include stage 1 (sponsor approval) hence it starts on the day u got the sponsor approval (which is also the same day with the trasfer of the file)
I hear you Herjeet....and since we were stuck in that awful approval mess known as feb/march I was hoping our VO's would be somewhat caught up seeing as they were not receiving a ton of files since they were all in Mississauga......fingers crossed for us that our stage 2 is faster!!!Herjeet said:I've been checking out the spreadsheets and amazed how fast Delhi office is pumping out PPR's! If only every office worked that fast, seems so unfair that different offices work at different rates..I though Delhi would be much more busy than London!! :'(
