Ph.D as a working experience?

Before the question I would like to thank you for any comments and feedback.

I got both of my Master's degree and Ph.D degree in US and while I'm checking how many points I can get in the EE system I found out that the points are different if I have working experience outside of Canada. At this point I'm wondering if I consider my Ph.D experience as working experience, can I still use it as my education degree? Or I just choose Master's as my degree?

Do you have any RA/TA experience? I don't know if that counts but I have always put those as work experiences and the degree as just educational qualification.

Thank you shomoita. Yes I do have TA/RA every semester so I'm thinking about using them as my work experience. So you meant you put those TA/RA of your Ph.D and also use Ph.D degree as your educational qualification?

I have another question. Officially speaking, what would be the appropriate way to demonstrate that I've been working as a research assistant and they can be considered as working experience? A letter from my school? Or is there any other way to validate that assertion and could be used to be submitted?

You would need a reference letter following IRCC's requirements and although not mandatory you can add pay stubs and tax returns.
