Hi All,
My son presently in Canada who has completed his ONE year PG course and got PGWP which has mention Expiry Date : 2025/11/22 where as in the conditions column mentioned as : Must leave Canada by 2023/11/22. Could any come across such work permit and any on e could clarify why is the different dates mentioned. Thank you

Which course did he complete ? Was it an MBA ?

He completed Degree BBA ( Bachelor of Business Management ) from India and in Canada he has completed International Business Management , Duration was 9 months.

It' a 1 year pgwp then. He should call them to have it resolved. Very important.

Still couldn't able to contact ircc , as an alternate we checked Ontario Service center and as per them MUST LEAVE CANADA BY 2023/11/22 could be a typo error and always we should look at the expiry date. So they advised to ignore it BUT off course get it rectified by IRCC . If any one come across such situation pls advise.

Also they renewed the SIN validity till 2025.

Service Canada doesn't know the rules. Their job is to tie the SIN to the expiry date on the permit. Say 3 years down the line, when applying for PR, IRCC will verify the validity of the work permit. If they do, one can still take the matter to court due to the misprint but I am not an expert on this. It's nerve wracking to be in this situation. In almost all cases, the leave by date is the expiry date on the work permit.
