Hi All any help would be appreciated.

i am enquirying for a friend who is going into 3rd semester this fall, who had failed a subject in her first semester , this was not offered in the 2nd semester and she would have to do it in the 3rd semester, and this would placed her on part time studies, would she be able to explain this when she is ready to apply for PGWP

When was she part-time, after dropping the course in the first semester? How long is the program?

She is going into the 3rd semester and she is taking the failed subject from the 1st semester. How this would place her on part-time studies? What seems to me is she will attend the 3rd semester and only enrolls for 1 more subject. She is still a full-time student.

she just completed her 2nd semester and originally suppose to be going into 3rd semester in fall 2019, but she failed 1 subject in 1st semester
(fall 2018) that is only offered again in fall 2019 and she cannot take up 3rd semester until she competed that 1 subject , so she basically will be doing only that 1 subject in fall 2019.

she is doing pharmacy technician program and that program does not allow you to add the fail subject to continue with the other semester.

would she be able to explain this when she is ready to apply for PGWP.

Explain what? It's not an exceptional situation. She will not qualify for a PGWP. Also note that she is not allowed to work until she has once again resumed full-time studies.

Please have her consulted with advisers at her school. It's going to be a serious situation. She will not qualify for a PGWP and is not allowed to work anymore. The best solution is if she can complete the failed subject in summer semester somehow.

If so, she will become a part-time student in Fall 2019 and not qualify for PGWP.

She should see if there is another school nearby that offers the course in summer semester or an equivalent online course that her school would accept.

If I were her I would register to do some electives to bring her studies up to full time, just take some easy courses like pottery or whatever
