PGWP under a new public policy

I hold valid PGWP which Expring on Feb 15th 2021.
Feb 4th 2021 - applied under public policy PGWP --> for Open work permit
Feb7th ---> UCI number added to my profile
Feb 9th ---> received pdf document WP-EXT except PGWP--- In letter it says your are authorized to continue working until June 8th 2021.

Hi, is it jun 8 2021 or 2022? They say 18 months and you only got 4 month extension?

hi there i applied for work permit extension under public policy on 24 feb 2021 and my work permit is expiring on 2 may 2021. its been more than and i haven't received any update from ircc. Any suggestions what should i do?

No, unless the program is extended upon July. You can only apply within 4 months of the expiry of your PGWP.

The same with me, I wish the program is extended

Thanks for that but one of my friend who is in the same situation as me got his pgwp extension just last week.
He took a gamble and it somehow paid off.

Were you able to get the extension, kindly share your experience as I am in the same situation like you (pgwp expires in december 2021) and planning to take a chance on it.
