PGWP/TRV expiry and entry to Canada

Hi,

So I need a little advice. My PGWP and TRV expires in about a month and I have been stuck outside of Canada since the pandemic because I was taking care of my parents. I'm travelling back at the end of this week. I share accommodation with my brother in Canada and I'm worried that I will be denied entry to Canada. will I be denied entry? I plan on applying for an extension/ New TRV while I apply for the ITA.

It's a tricky question since there are travel restrictions in place right now. There is some possibility you may be denied boarding or not allowed into Canada once you arrive since your reasons for travel may be deemed as non-essential given how soon your PGWP is expiring. No one is going to be able to say for sure unfortunately. You'll have to try and see what happens.

Would add that if you are able to ger back to Canada your brother will have to remain in quarantine with you unless you live in a home where there is a separate unit so you can have no contact with your brother during quarantine.

I plan on staying in an Airbnb for the two weeks of self-isolation because my brother will be working and he will deliver to me groceries and medicine if need be
