PGWP to SOWP

My friend has a situation and I thought its best to ask here

He is on PGWP and wife on SOWP both expiring in Jan 2025. The wife is planning to enroll in Masters Program. That way the wife will eventually get a PGWP and the husband will get an SOWP based on her Masters program. Would there be a hitch in this scenario in terms of a conversion to SOWP after the PGWP expires? Please advise thanks

This is NOT going to work. Many tried to do that and IRCC has closed this loophole few years ago.
The wife if qualify can get her study permit but the husband cannot get SOWP from her because he was the primary applicant of the initially application.
