Hope you all are doing well.
Guys please help me out
My agent told me about Cdi college.
He said it’s a really good college and offers PGWP .
But I’m not sure if it’s true because it’s a private college
So guys if you know anything about it please let me know
Would really appreciate the help

I checked it and what I came to know is that it is a Designated learning institute (dli)
But under the “offers PGWP” heading it’s written “No” there
So does that mean i won’t get PGWP ??
Btw I was talking about Missisuaga campus of Cdi college.
I also searched about the main campus of cdi college which is in Montreal and there’s written “details” under PGWP option

Yes if it indicated no then that means their programs are not pgwp eligible . If details are indicated then your program in that school should meet the requirements indicated in the details. I suggest you contact the school directly to have additional information regarding their programs that are pgwp eligible.

These are the requirements for the Quebec campuses:

To be eligible for a PGWP, your program must be 900 hours or longer and lead to 1 of the following:

  • Diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) (Diploma in Vocational Studies)
  • Attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) (Attestation of Vocational Specialization)
  • Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) (Diploma in College Studies)
  • Attestation d’études collégiales (AEC) (Attestation of College Studies)

However, keep in mind that you need to have knowledge of French language in order to obtain jobs and for pr purposes.

Not saying necessarily the case here but agents have been known to recommend colleges given some colleges are known to incentivise agents to make recommendations . If you think abouyt how would an agent know whether a college was good or not unless they had attended themselves or they are just basing on a Google search

This is why applicants should do their own investigation especially where they are making an investment that they want to lead to a PGWP, all the information is out there on the IRCC site.

Montreal has some exceptions for private colleges it depends on details of program. Generally you should avoid private colleges, everything is worse.
