PGWP rejection these days !!!

Is that something going on that they are rejecting the PGWP these says..There are lot of rumors going on...

Is there any truth behind this ??

For private colleges? Yes - absolutely. Avoid private colleges and attend a real school (university or public college).

Few common reasons;

1. Taking unscheduled breaks from studies and work off campus. Your school will have NO problem if you do that, but you will pay price when applying for a PWGP.
2. Taking few online courses to complete the course.
3. Taking too long to finish the course.
4. Pending charges in court/conviction.
5. Failed to pay extra CAD 100 PGWP fees.

One related question---actually my friend did a course in humber college (Public college) for one year and further studied for one year in a private college (in another course).


Now, if he apply for PGWP-will he get 3 years work permit or 1 year permit (as his one year in private college may not be considered?)

It's quite likely his private course won't be counted. The even bigger risk is that he won't qualify for a PGWP at all since only his public college education counts and it's been more than 90 days since he finished this course. So there's three possible outcomes. 3 year PGWP, 1 year PGWP and no PGWP.

hey i got the admit for lambton college and heard that pgwp is not given to private colleges so i want to confirm weather it is public or private i search in google but i couldn't get the info please let me know the info.

What about universities? I've McGill admit but its a private university. Does it qualify for PGWP ??

It is a private university but governed under the same rules as any public university, so no issue with PGWP.

Lambton is a Public funded college so you will be given PGWP after completing your studies.
