PGWP refusal

Hi there! My pgwp got refused after waiting for 5 months. They mentioned I was not a full time student but I was and only took one scheduled break. Now I have applied for reconsideration and attached a supporting letter from KPU university stating I can take the break and I was a full time student.
Can anyone tell how long it takes for reconsideration and any chances that they can change the decision? I provided all the proofs that I was a full time student.

There are no timelines for reconsideration but expect months. Assume you have stopped working and changed your status to visitor.

You need status in Canada so visitor. You cannot work.

Confused so did you take a break or were you studying full-time throughout your studies?

I am from kpu as well and got my pgwp refused on Thursday last week. Did you get any update on your application?

Same as yours but I withdrew courses in fall semester and had 6 credits only and went part time, but kpu said im still considered as full time and they can provide supportive documents but I don’t understand if i should re apply pgwp or i should apply for reconsideration

Do reconsideration first and If you are still in 180 days window apply for restoration as well.when your reconsideration comes with positive result then you can withdraw yor restoration application.

Was this part time for the last semester? If not, you were rightly refused a PGWP as you must be full-time except the last semester. What can KPU provide to prove you were not part-time?

You can apply reconsideration and restoration both of them but the reconsideration result came back to us in few weeks and restoration will take 5 to 6 months or more. Kpu provide you a support latter right.? What the letter states that were full time student or not.?

Was this part time for the last semester? If not, you were rightly refused a PGWP as you must be full-time except the last semester. What can KPU provide to prove you were not part-time?

I was take fall semester break. As per kpu rules you can take any semester break but the conditions are students have to full time before and after the break. If you meet this requirements that you were full time student in kpu. But i am not sure about the part time students who take part time studies in one semester.
